A brief description of development progress on this site.

Aug - June 2009: I'm sad to say I have entered my Dark Period! Im netless and in a transition between houses atm.
As soon as i get sorted both work wise and time wise i will pick up where I left off, but for now I can do no more than the odd check at a friends house when I can find time.

Mar - July 2008: This has been a very busy period for me, so I have only managed a scarce few updates.
I have many projects that are currently under development at the moment, appologies for neglecting this site for so long.
Once I get caught up I plan an update to baccaruda.org and boom.fm but I can not put a timescale on this at present as I have (with any luck) secured a good job that im hoping to start this month also.
Its back to as and when I can squeeze in some coding time again. As always your suggestions are welcome for content entries.

Feb 2008: Major Changes, not least we have moved host to http://www.freehostia.com, our old host no longer offers Free hosting anymore And I finaly took the plunge and bought the domain name baccaruda.org which I have wanted to do for a long time.

So expect more changes and tweeks as always over the comming weeks and months as I find time.

Jan 2008: A slow start to the year as Im still working on Boom.FM

December 2007: Seasons Greetings to all our users.
baccaruda F&OS is pleased to welcome the Boom FM community to our site whilst you await your new servers and site being constructed.
We hope you have a pleasant stay and find some good software here too along your way!.

November 2007: Added more RTS games to the sites listings, amongst others and a overdue link check.
I have also suspended the contact page for the forseable future due to abuse issues. Its a shame a few bad apples want to spoil it for the rest of you.

October 2007: Found a few moments to rewrite the Internet Search Page and to sort out the navigation button colours so they are more consistant with different browsers.

September 2007: still busy with other projects so the sites still on the backburner!

August 2007: More additions, but busy with other projects so the sites on a backburner again!

July 2007: More of the same, nothing interesting here so make up something!

June 2007: Mostly checking for dead links and searching for more additions with 64bit computer compatability. I got quite a few new ones this month.

May 2007: I have been busy this month, with work for other websites, most notably www.infinitywebsp4ce.co.uk, so work on here has been a bit slow. I still managed a new addition or two though.

Apr 2007: Some back end work and optimisations, as well as the usual additions for this month.

Mar 2007: The buttons were fixed quite quickly I'm glad to say.. Hope you Like the new look. Theres been a few more additions to the databases adding more games and applications for your approval.

Feb 2007: Some more changes to the site, the improved navbar buttons (with pure CSS ) but as a side effect for now all the links have converted to use that format on the navbar column. I will resolve the issue soon enough but have been busy so its on my iminent list.

Jan 2007: Some changes to the site, the chat instructuions are more accessable and improve the directions for anyone struggling to get the chat working. The bot scripts have been converted and tested but as I havnt a machine I can run it on permanently yet. It will be making only cameo apperences until such time I can get it on a server here. (I'm told April tentitivly! but I may try to sort a workaround before then now that I know it all works.)

December 2006: The usual updates and additions again this month.

November 2006: Just a few new additions to the databases this month, as I've been busy getting to know my way around with Linux.

October 2006: Well after a running start to the month with a wealth of last minute additions to the site mid month, I really had to grind to a halt with everything... we have moved to Linux across the system here. To be honest I feel less hypercritical for that now too, a freeware resource site, powered by free software!
As of this moment the bot is down indefinitely, whilst I configure things this end, the hardware support for all of my system is going to take a while to either find or replace.. bear with us though please.
More than ever, I guess, baccaruda freeware will depend on your contributions to the database for content, so don't be shy.. if you know of a free app, game or resource that should be included, let us know and we will be glad to include it for you.

September 2006: Again, content additions and some recoding of parts of the website structure.

August 2006: A few more content additions and many bug fixes for the chat-room bot and website structure, some new chat-bot commands added too.

July 2006: A few new database content inclusions, as I am always looking for more quality content so that you may see it as soon as I find it.
Another slow month for the sites ongoing development as I have concentrated on other projects.
My C++ Exam results are back and the Distinction is mine \0/. /me offers beers all round!

June 2006: A few updates to the site, new database inclusions and chat-room bot improvements, some alterations and improvements to the admin back end too.
though not the fasted development phase of the site ever, some ideas are in the pipe still but I've not the time or inclination with RL (real life) and the World Cup in the way.

May 2006: Some updates to the site and new inclusions to the database. Work on the bot continues, but my study in C++ is over (for now hopefully) as I have (provisionally) passed with distinction. If things seemed even slower than usually then I hide behind the old student reasoning of revising, which is another way of saying I was too drunk to work on it ;)

April 2006: Some updates to some areas of the site, Working on a new bot for the chat-room. type !commands in the chat-room to see a list of things you can do on the bot. The list is usually up to date in the bot.
Some of my featured scripts include !jokes, !8ball, !drinks (bar) and !roulette ( a multiplayer Russian Roulette game. )
More scripts will be written as and when I get the time/urge to do them so keep checking that !command list ;)

Mar 2006: Migration to our new home at pandela.com is expected to go smoothly, our new address is

The migration includes many updates to most of the site.
I hope you find the move was worthwhile. To be freed from those pesky adverts and annoying long waits was enough to spur the move.
Some areas of the site have changed, and as such are not yet fully finished. More changes in the coming months to improve the current systems will be needed so we can continue to bring you a top class info site.

User submission is tentatively making a debut too, via the contact us option in the nav bar. If you see somethings missing from our database, have a problem, spot a mistake or just want to leave a comment please feel free to let us know.

Feb 2006: Preparations for a possible move of host have been started.

Jan 2006: some updates, bit of a clean up of links and some new DB entries.

Dec 2005: Some additions to the database, some new hardware at my end too has meant a system wide overhaul, this has slowed down work on this site as applications are reinstalled.

Nov 2005: Some problems with the database have been resolved, work on the backend structure of the site is continuing.

Oct 2005: Again a few minor alterations and database updates.

Sep 2005: A few minor alterations and a few updates to the database, more updates to follow over the following months.

Aug 2005: Roll out on some of the planned feeatures (eg user submission) has been delayed indefinatly. This is partly to do with other commitments and partly because I feel unable to deliver the backend capability at my current rate to the quality I require at the moment.
The work will therefor be ready as and when. I have added some more database entries and am adjusting the new layouts at the moment.

Jul 2005: Much background work to the site ready (tentitivly) for roll out Soon((tm) Mid August.).
this will be the start of the database and user submission process. also this will incorporate the user account structure that has also been under development (but is also unfinished atm).

Jun 2005: Changing the whole site over to PHP format. This is to enable more functionality and features for the site as it continues to evolve.

May 2005: This month saw the introduction of the Java based IRC client, now anyone can chat directly in our chatroom from this website. For more details and to connect now see the Chat section.

Apr 2005: Updating and routing out dead links (Spring cleaning in action!).

Mar 2005: Still coding C++ mostly.

Feb 2005: A few very minor changes, I´m coding C++ mostly.

Jan 2005: New Layout and a new section Basic computer Secutity to give a little insight as to what the risks and preventative measures we can take to keep our computing safe.

Dec 2004: The hardware updates took longer than aniticipated....
Work on the index, Security and Search Engine section pages began..

Nov 2004: Sorry not much in the way of updates atm due to hardware updating.
