IRC or Internet Relay Chat is a great way to chat to ppl online.

Using a client program to connect to an IRC network you are able to chat in realtime by typing and sending messages.
To chat in the #baccaruda room you will need to select the server as :

irc.slashnet.org

Depending on which client you are using, you may need to select a server in your reigion from a list.

If you are already using a compatable IRC client this link will connect you to a slashnet server.

After you have connected the client IRC program to the SlashNet server you will have to join our room.
You just need to type in :

/join #baccaruda

Type it either into the status window or the join channel option of your client.
